Dubs needed... Well advice and help mainly

Post by drama(urbannerds) » Wed Aug 20, 2008 10:23 am

Yo

I started using Serato Scratch last month as my logical thinking was,

.Its Easier to carry about than my Heavy ass record bag
.Plastician tears it up when he plays out
."How hard can it be to find Dubstep releases on WAV,MP3 etc"

All of the above except the last one are spot on.

Its harder to find a good selection of MP3's than it would be to travel back in time and find Moses and the burning bush.

Can anyone help me with the said issue.

The scene seems to be really tight with none of the producers (Skream, Benga, Rusko, Kode 9, blahblah blah blah) allowing you to buy anything from them in MP3. I am not impressed and am still having to by records and record them onto MP3 Just to save me carrying round my bag..LONG

I really would like to know, is there a site that is the place to go for this, or am i going to have to search the Net for hours on end for 1 beat by some swag producer??

Safe any comments and suggestions

chemical records has got a big selection of mp3/wav's to buy, and u can always get hold of unreleased track from the forum if u get the producers permission to play them out

Basically its the main reason I don't mix Dubstep fully, can't afford the vinyl and it is a vinyl led scene.

Skream, Benga, Rusko, Kode 9, blahblah blah blah want to keep it that way I guess. Records make alot more money as well.

The main reason being the sound quality I guess though.

Would be nice to be able to get all the big tunes on mp3 / wav as well as havin the vinyl option.

Go to www.digital-tunes.net first as they're cheaper than beatport.

Then go check beatport as they've got a broader selection.

Loads of shit comes out digitally now, even from all the artists you've mentioned. Compared to this time last year the digital scene is really healthy.

you can, almost all the 'big' labels sell digi-DLs as well now, Hyperdub, DMZ, Tectonic, Hotflush etc...

Look in the 'Newcomers Guide' Sticky thread on the main forum - there are links in there to all the main shops where you can buy mp3s/wavs.
