Which part of Malaysia are you headed to? Kuala Lumpur? Quite a lot to do in town, especially foodwise, if you haven't been there before. Historical buildings, the national museum (always found it a bit creepy though), night markets, temples. Plenty of nightlife, the whole place generally gets quite lively after 10pm as people head out for late night supper after the shops shut.Bassrael wrote:i´m gonna be in malaysia in march.
any travel / kulture / hot spot suggestions?
If you want a bit of history, take a trip down to Melaka (Malacca) which should be just a couple hours drive away to look at colony-era buildings a couple hundred years old. If you want to venture further up north to Penang Island then you can get more chinese-oriented culture.
If you're into hiking then the national forest/jungle is probably a couple hours away, there are loads of hiking spots, etc. I think it's the wrong time of the year for turtle egg laying season.
Beach-wise, there aren't any good ones nearby, you'd be better off flying to one of the islands. Went to Langkawi the last time, was ok if you want to mix beach with a bit of town life. There are quieter islands around, especially in East Malaysia.
Nah, I think with the currency differences they won't be that expensive. Cheap flight to an East Malaysian (Borneo) city followed by boat to island. Google Sabah or Sarawak, those are the states. To be honest, if you're more into nature/outdoors, you could very spend the full two weeks just over there. If I remember correctly, flights work out to about 20-30 euros max (but this was a couple years ago).

YO! Reza from BudCulture Malaysia here. A little introduction about BudCulture >>
Bud Culture is a small project basically revolving around the push on Dub and Dubstep music in Malaysia. This group is basically created to create some form of awareness that there is a group of people in Malaysia who appreciate Dub/Dubstep. So, with this group there can be discussions on anything related to Dub/Dubstep. Also this group will act as an info tool for those wanting to know more about whats goin on with events as well as even info on what Dub & Dubstep really is all about.
