5 TRACK EP SHOWCASES A WHOLE DFRNT KIND OF SOUND
----------------==================----------------------------------------
DFRNT's first EP, "The DFRNT Engine" will be crashing to earth from space
in September.
The crater it is going to leave will not be easily forgotten. Harnessing his
unique blend of synthtones and viral beats DFRNT has emerged as a messenger
from the future. Following closely on the heels of the successful "Catch Me",
released on "Fixations:Series One", DFRNT shows us he is in it to win it.
From the catchy hook of "Weapon" to the winding down melodies of "Closing
Credits" DFRNT will keep you wondering what's coming next track after track.
Having discovered Dubstep in 2007, DFRNT jumped at the opportunity to try
his hand at production. He had worked on a number of styles in the past,
all developing out of his previous production work on mashups and bootlegs.
Within a few weeks, he had worked up a furious remix of Dead Prez's "Hip Hop"
and with a solid base of feedback, decided to work on a number of entirely
original tracks. In his own words "Dubstep allows me to channel a great deal
of aggressive sound, and work up massive walls of offence within my music,
which wasn't previously working for me in other styles."
His previous production work under other aliases, (including mixtapes, mashups,
unofficial remixes and original production from chill-out stuff, to drum &
bass) has seen small success on national radio stations, in podcasts, and in
clubs and around the world. Most notably a Saturday night slot on XFM's 'The
Rinse' show. It was not however until DFRNT's dubstep production work surfaced
that things started to get serious.
The DFRNT Engine goes live September 5th in more than 28 online stores
including Beatport, iTunes, Digital-Tunes.net, DJDownload.com, and Amazon.

ideas about what music is capable of doing, ideas about how music can
change your whole life. We want people to metamorph, come alive, groove
into action to the sounds we are putting out."
