SORRY TO ALL WHO TURNED UP TO 'KONTAKT' - READ ON ....

Post by felis » Wed Jul 12, 2006 8:46 am

- BAMBU ARE OFFICIAL COCK HOUNDS -
THEY CANCELLED ON US TEN MINUTES BEFORE WE WERE DUE TO START AFTER I HAD TAKEN MY DECKS (THE OWNER HAD CUT THE EARTH CABLES OFF HIS 1210'S COS HE THOUGHT HE DID'NT NEED THEM...LOL) / MIXER / CDJ / CABLES / RECORDS ETCCC DOWN TO THE VENUE .
IT WAS A FREE EVENT ... NO ONE WAS GETTING PAID ... THE LEAST THEY COULD HAVE DONE WAS SORT OUT A FEW DRINKS FOR THE DJ'S ... THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE COOL TO CHARGE £3.00 ODD FOR A PINT OF 4% BEER TO THE DJ'S AND GUESTS (AND ME WHO HAD SPENT OVER £50 ON POSTERS / FLYERS ETCCC AND RUN AROUND GETTING SH!T SORTED ... AND I WAS'NT GETTING ANY CASH ETCCC OFF THEM) ... ENOUGH OF ME RANTING AND RAVING .
SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED TO ANYONE .
I AM IN THE PROCESS OF SORTING A NEW VENUE NOT OWNED BY TWATS .
P.S. - THE DOORSTAFF SAID THEY HAD TO TELL AT LEAST 80 - 100 PEOPLE THAT IT WAS CANCELLED NOT INCLUDING THE PEOPLE I MANAGED TO CONTACT SO WHEN A NEW VENUE GETS SORTED IT SHOULD BE A BANGER .
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT ... FUCK BAMBU !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah real shame...was looking forward to it....when i left there was only one of the other djs still there (JE:5?) ...no punters so i guess the management felt like pricks after a very quiet saturday night!

Big up Felis on all the hard work put in. The new venue you were chatting about sounded cool so looking forward to the real thing!

Geiom filled me in on what happened mate, and it both sucks and blows at the same time. Fuck bambu, fuck them up their stupid asses.

Its a bad state of affairs when a venue are such cash hounds that they wont even front for a rider WHEN THE GIGS COSTING THEM NOTHING.
The way i look at it the owners must have been high, as the only outcome from this event would have been a phat profit for them off the bar takings, and yet another wikkid dubstep night kicking off in the midlands.

It sucks but venues need to be cased nowadays when your putting nights on, otherwise you can get rawed.
Bad luck man, there is always next time.

This is just an idea at the moment but if anyone wants to try and help get this off the ground then let me know.
I use to live in Herne Hill in two huge tower blocks near the station.

Escape a nice bar but I think it has the wrong crowd / vibe.

Dogstar use to be a lot better then it is now. They use to havw DnB, reggae and hip hop but knows its all gone down hill and bit.

Saying that I haven't been there in ages.
