Buy software, long term you'll see the benefits. plus from what i know FL is very cheap in comparison to other DAW's.

yes. they don't make FLS for mac. however, it's definitely NOT a weak DAW. in fact, i know a ton of producers who use it and make it sounds just as good as any multi-track DAW like logic or cubase.JTL wrote:FL8 doesn't come for mac unless you install windows on it.
i like fruity way better than ableton live, to be honest. the swedes have great logic in their workflow.
my $0.02 USD
It's very much possible to run Fruity Loops on your Mac. I'm doing it with Parallels running a virtual machine of Windows XP. But honestly, I only use it as a sequencer. If you desperately want FL8 running on your Mac, I highly recommend you go through this:

It is a major bitch to set up but you can definitely get awesome DAW's like Adobe Audition, Sonar 7, and FL 8 which are all Windows based to run on your Leopard OS X.

THIS IS POSSIBLE.
You will need:
1 LEGITAMATE copy of Windows XP Home Edition with SP2
1 LEGITIMATE copy of VMWare Fusion.
1 LEGITIMATE copy of Fruity Loops (any version will do)
and your end resuld will look like this. Walaa.

Don't pirate the software. I'm sure there's all kinds of updates that are necessary so that your FL8 can run stable on your Mac.

of course it's possible and it works so-so, in my opinion. the drivers kinda suck and i've had a number of weird errors. the original question was not "how to run FLS8 in parallels or bootcamp" though..
also, i don't think anyone said it wasn't possible, if we're making clarifying everything here.
edit: i used to have that same desk, btw. and have the same external. wewt
