Can someone please remix this tune?

Post by amitai » Mon Sep 01, 2008 2:47 am

I always have these ideas -- I hear a tune and say "oh man someone MUST make a dubstep remix of this tune!" But I don't know how to produce so I can't do it. All I can do is bump this thread once in a while, begging you producers to do something about it. 8)

ok here's the latest one: "Baby Doll" by N*E*R*D. 2001 tune, would sound great with more bass.

How about Prodigy's "Charly"? Actually now that I think about it I feel like it's already been done...

I tried it for a second in 2005... And I was just plain no good! I think I'm much better at begging people to do the work for me :).

Seriously though: you're right... I just need to get off my ass, buy Ableton Live and do it.

More songs that beg for a dubstep remix. These are CHEESY top 40 tunes that would be amazing if someone did it.

Alannah Myles - "Black Velvet"
Another Level - "Freak Me" (I'm sure someone did this one already... it's just too obvious)
Bronski Beat - "Smalltown Boy"
Fool's Garden - "Lemon Tree"
Frankie Laine - "High Noon" (a 50s song.... I can feel this one being huge, done right)
Jaques Dutronc - "Il Est Cinq Heures, Paris s'Eveille" (has a crucial flute break that can be used)
Louis Armstrong & Gabriele - "Uncle Satchmo's Lullaby"
Ritchie Valens - "Donna"
Spice Girls - "2 Become 1" (this was mentioned in another thread by someone else)
Vengaboys - "Boom Boom Boom Boom" (the "woah-oah" part sampled!!!)

OK just ordered from amazon. Couldn't find digital, so bought the CD. 7digital has it digital, but it's only available to customers in Ireland :(

ah!, you're the man!
I can't wait to shave a few semi-tones off mr. morrison's voice.

also, that's the most egregious instance of Irish Nationalism i have ever heard of.
