it sounds exactly like burial. just because we all like burial's music, is there any excuse for copying him so blatantly?

When I first heard it on Youngsta's show (N-Type and Youngsta - http://www.rinse.fm/podcasts/Youngsta21808.mp3 (first track)) I had to skip back and listen again and again.

But yeh man, have to keep clicking play on this one.

Obviously shows that type of music is successful and inspiring.

i agree with blackdown, it sounds EXACTLY like burial, but that doesn't mean i don't like it!

it's a funny issue actually, sort of putting a burial tune into a more dj-friendly format, while one of the best things about burial is the awkwardness, that's a big part of what makes his stuff so outstanding. but i'm sure theres a demand for tunes similar to his, but with fuller bass and more heavily-sequenced beats. if he chose to he could make more sequenced tracks like Unite on the first Box of Dub compilation and probably get more club play. his direct influence on other producers is inevitable isn't it though.

pretty nice tune though

similar to burial, but it doesnt mean the experimenting he did in that direction (ambient 2step imo) cant be followed.

such a great type of sound, whoever makes it, it doesnt matter. its welcoming to see that its moving more towards the dancefloor side of things.

true, but this sounds a little bit too much like burial for it not to sound like a copycat. i love this sort of sound, and yes it'll be good to hear it more in clubs, but i do think it can be explored without actually sounding like its copying someone else.

i think copycat is a strong word... if synkro is a copycat then so am i and so is everyone else who is inspired by a pioneer, in any scene.

but thats all just hot air really - lets take each tune we hear and work out if the work has gone into it, that track is sick. dope beats, deep vibe and clever sounds.

I honestly think that 8 out of 10 'dubstep' tunes that come out have none of the above - credit for the big guns like Skream and N-Type for picking the quality and putting them on rinse - thats where i first heard 'Closer'

true. but i did say it sounds too much like burial for it not to sound like a copycat, not that synkro is a copycat.

i do like what i hear here, beats and vibes etc, i just dont totally like the fact the first thing i thought was that it sounds just like burial.

tbh that is actually quite a big compliment in itself.

Ez people,,

much respect to everyone for listening to my music.. Im sorry to everyone who thinks im jus trying to copy Burial.. But its not like that.. I love deep, emotional music & iv always been into early 2/step / garage.. yes burial is someone i look up to but this tune is quite far from alot of burial tunes if you listen closely to the production..im not jus blatantly trying to rip of Burial.. I love his music.. I produce a wide array of styles.. & to be honest i am honored that people actually think it sounds like a Burial tune...

No harm meant,, all of the comments are much appreciated... & big respect to everyone for the support..

peace..
