Death Metal - Metalcore - Deathcore - Grindcore - DUNNOCORE

Post by Dead Rats » Sun Sep 14, 2008 11:55 am

Anyone like music a bit more on the brutal side?

I'm quite a fan of Bring me the Horizon, Suicide Silence, Annotations of an Autopsy, Job for a Cowboy, Ted Maul....

Anyone else?

now we're talking :)

Loving Necrophagist at the moment, amazing musicianship.

Beneath The Massacre are sick too, a modern take on classic death metal. Decapitated, Whitechapel and Impending Doom deserve a mention too, all sick brutal bands.

Ted Maul are pretty interesting from what i've heard, deathy grindy stuff but with drum and bass style electronic elements.

Yeah, I saw Ted Maul not too long back at Download festival. They had some banging Drum n' Bass going on when they entered the stage!

Mesuhuggah are also good, haven't heard much fom them, but what I have heard, I like. New Millenium Cyanide Christ is a choon.

Other than that, I must admit to my attending metal gigs is on the decline, these days, which makes me sad because going to gigs and moshing out all night used to be one of the highlights of my life. Ishould stop spending so much money at festivals and down the pub.

i like also Dying Foetus ... lots of people don't like deathcore cause of the emo style of some band but death fit so well with hxc... and dying foetus vocals are crazy as fuck !

I like my metal without the core.

Beneath the Massacre and (old) Dying Fetus rip though

like also metalcore (old stuff especially from belgium like Arkangel for example)
like all the mathcore stuff botch and old dillinger stuff and meshuggah ... not the same but also with complex rythm

I've always thought it's funny, how the most known Polish bands are death metal. Pop stars struggle to be famous, while our greatest export in music are Vader and Behemoth.

I'm more into black metal & drones myself, is that too soft?

S&M is shit. gotta check out the Lps released in the 80's... like "ride the lightning" back in '84, "...and justice for all" in '88 ... that's the good ones!

Black Metal is the best music in the world.

I just got into Endstille recently. Properly sick melodic riffs like Drudkh mixed with a death metal intensity and also the slow pace of Judas Iscariot
