Post by ashley » Sun Sep 14, 2008 10:49 pm

Anyone have any release info? Last I heard it was due late summer and there was a premier in Melkweg but that was back in June?

yes but unfortunately, in this economy and age...who would BUY it? this is part of the issue. putting out a dvd in 2009 is basically taking £2500 and putting in the bin. a lose lose scenario. it would be on p2p, youtube in 24hours.

shout out to shaz and ryo and everyone involved though. they put a LOT of work into it.

imo they should ONLY sell hard copies of it. selling a movie file on the net would mean it gets leaked quicker surely?

every single dubstep DVD thats been put out has been ripped and online within days. dubstepfiles, the bristol documentary...all of them. all it takes is one wasteman that doesn't have a fucking clue about how much work goes into projects like this to ruin it for everyone else. and people wonder why they're cracking down on p2p?

i know for a fact that they flew to many places in europe to get this footage. a whole camera team, not just one person. all those travel expenses need to be recooped, and how would they get recooped if its on p2p in 24hrs? srk crew, if you read this, don't put it out on dvd. try and get some money for it and get it on TV instead. then at least if it get's ripped, you'll get your expenses back.

fair enuff nobody wants to lose money over anything so its understandable if they are trying to make some money back, but they need to get more screenings in bare different locations to really earn before it goes to dvd and gets ripped. seeing as there aint been that many showings im assuming they aint been able to get them....

so whats gonna happen from here? wait another 2 years and try get the odd showing and then release it wen its bare old, or just release it soon. either way they gonna have to release it, would be pointless to hold footage like that back.
