Little Sh*t

Story here

A seven-year-old boy has been filmed going on the rampage at a popular zoo in Australia, killing rare reptiles and feeding live ones to a crocodile.

Footage from the security cameras at Alice Springs Reptile Centre caught the child smiling as he killed a total of 13 animals.

During his 30-minute spree, he was seen hurling the animals over the security fence into the crocodile enclosure.

Zoo officials described the boy's actions as "unbelievable".

They are considering suing the parents as the boy is too young to be prosecuted.

'Difficult to replace'

The attack happened on Wednesday morning after the boy entered the zoo by jumping over the security fence and evading sensor alarms.

Over the next half hour, he bludgeoned some of the animals to death with stones and hurled others over the two fences surrounding the crocodile enclosure.

At one point, he tried scaling the outer enclosure himself to get to "Terry", the 11ft (3.3m) saltwater crocodile.

A turtle, four Western blue-tongued lizards, two bearded dragons, two thorny devil lizards and the zoo's 20-year-old goanna were among those killed.

Zoo director Rex Neindorf said many of the animals were rare or mature and would be difficult to replace.

"The fact a seven-year-old can wreak so much havoc in such a short time, it's unbelievable," he told Reuters news agency.

Mr Neindorf said the boy had "clammed up" when questioned by police.

As children under the age of 10 cannot be held accountable for their actions in the Northern Territory, the zoo would be seeking to take action against the parents.

"We'll be looking at suing the parents, who were supposedly in control of him at the time," he said.

What a little shit.

thats dark man, not that i'm implying this is the case here, or the case everytime either, but isn't there some study that showed one of the early signs of a potential murderer was a desire to hurt/kill animals in childhood?

It's kind of funny in a really dark way. I mean I used to throw flies into spider webs when I was a young 'un, so I suppose that's just an extension of that. Not sure about the beating to death with rocks though. Kid's clearly got some serious issues going on.

i suppose it is kind of an extension of that, but i think thats a lot less extreme than beating something over the head with a rock repeatedly

I am sorry to say but if you never toyed with life and death as a child then you haven't lived and your mummy probably wrapped you up in cotton wool.

Every child needs to experience it to understand the value.

However, this guy is just Damien.

abuse to animals @ such a young age is usually considered a early sign of what later on will develop into Anti-Social Disorder and Psychotic Tendancies. (Most serial killers have well documented animal abuse incidents in there youth)

In my defense, I was carrying out experiments as a young wannabe Zoologist.

To be fair, the line was at insects. Flies into webs, and deodorant + lighter for ants. I feel really bad admitting that. But I can't kill anything these days.

i don't think thats necessarily true ashley, i mean i'm pretty sure everyone squished a few ants or whatever in their childhood, but its possible to learn about life and death without having control of it.

I only squish spiders and moths and generally anything that invades my house.

You cant catch a moth without squishing it. Impossible.

You mean you never went frog hunting as a kid in the local woodland? Never had any frog spawn? What about newts? Grass snakes? Rabbits?

Or was your garden 100% concrete?

its one thing to burn ants and pull wings off of daddy long legs...but christ breaking in to reptile center! Then killing expensive animals...little nutter...with a bit of luck they can straighten him out before he's old enough to cause some real damage!

Shame they caught him before he got to the aquarium ey, would of love to seen some CCTV footage of him catching some piranah or shark.

i didn't say i've never squished a few bugs or whatever myself, but i'm just saying its not the only way you learn about life and death. tbh most people probably learn about that through losing a relative or something..

I used to go hunting for animals just to look at them, like collecting frogs in a bucket, identifying them then releasing them. I was fascinated by insects though. Still am really, those little armoured bastards are pretty damn cool. I've never seen a grass snake :(
