record cleaning machines?

Anybody ever used one? Are they any good, or do you have to be a real audiophile to tell the difference afterwards?

i've seen em used, and dont think you need to be an audiophile to tell the difference.
its more a matter of having tons of vinyl and not having time to sit around with the swipe and wipe.
if you do a considerable amount of digging, they are something to consider.

unfortunately, the (semi-)automated ones are expensive and loud...but if you got stacks of dusty wax, the time you save may be worth it.
was looking at the VPI 16.5 or DIY until i saw this nitty gritty in action.

Ok, so more of a time saver then. I'll look into that swipe and wipe strategy. :)

Thanks!

they are cool. I've always used warm water and a mild detergent.
