Three years deep in musical experimentation, Heads High launch a fresh season of events at Brick Lane's Vibe Live.

Born in North London's creative warehouse community, Heads High has evolved into a refreshing audio-visual experience that challenges divisions within the confines of performance and beyond. Each set blurs the line between live musicianship and the DJ's mix; the parts melding with each other to create a smooth, integrated sensory experience.

For the next season of events, the Heads High Collective have upped the ante to produce a blisteringly fresh club experience. Each session will showcase a broad spectrum of music and performances from artists of integrity. The coming months will see live performances (tbc) from Vula, LV & Dandelion, Olivier DaySoul, Charlie Dark, Martyn, Elemental, Jack Baker Trio, The Mighty Jeddo and more with each night's programme punctuated by performances from the Heads High family. Expect live instruments, guest vocalists, MPC/Synth jams and all that good stuff.

Opening the season is Glasgow's Mungo's HiFi who'll be celebrating the launch of their 'Soundsystem Champions' album. Established in 2000, Mungo's have become one of the UK's best reggae sound systems, taking everything you; they and I love about traditional roots, dancehall dub and reggae vibes and bring them bang up to date in their own inimitable style. They've played over 1000 shows (and counting) and have taken their sound, sights and subs all over Europe.

Their monthly club sessions and insatiable studio endeavors have seen them host and collaborate with the likes of Jah Shaka, Sister Nancy, Ranking Joe, Tippa Irie, Top Cat and Warrior Queen with plaudits for their heavy weight sound from the likes of John Peel (RIP), Iration Steppas and Mr Scruff. Escapades into dubstep on the new Scrub-A-Dub imprint continue to move their sound forward, as they give a knowing nod to the past while always sounding contemporary – as legions of the global dubstep community will testify.
