FWD>> + Rinse @ The End Last Night...

Post by swiftguyver » Sat Oct 25, 2008 7:51 pm

looked for a thread about this but could not find one...

what did everyone think then?

i had a really good night as expected...

Distance smashed it as usual...shame he was on so early though...

Walsh played an absolutely SICK set...badman mixer...

i enjoyed Geeneus' set...real nice vibes...

Skream Vs. Benga was pure hype vibes haha...Skream was getting SMASHED haha...bare rewinds during their set...the energy throughout was huge...it was buzzing...

N-Type Vs. Youngsta was stupidly dope as expected...both killed it with their selection and tight mixing...LOL @ Jammer though...WTF was going on there?! i dunno if anyone else thought the same but i sensed that Youngsta really didn't want Skepta and Jammer shouting all over his set...he looked well pissed off and seemed to keep telling N-Type to ask them to fuck off...which they finally did...

Pinch played a nice, deep, rolling set as always to round off the night...

Boy Better Know seemed ok but i only caught about 10-20 mins of their set...

Kode 9 didn't impress me as much as he has in the past but obviously he still played a decent set...

El-B played some interesting stuff...i only saw like 30 mins of him though...

i missed most of Plastician unfortunately but it seemed like he was killing it as always...

i didn't catch any of SK Vibemakers, Clairvoyants, Scratcha, Crises or Supa D...

8/10.

fuckin banging night. much better than the last one. the crowd were going for it harder and so were the dj's and the tunes they dropped.

was definately feelin geenus' set. some of dem house beats are hard.

skream n benga killed it. some of new tunes they were playin were fucked. 2 steps back vip always kills it aswell lol.

n type n youngsta was toooo much. just bein at the front and watching/hearing the tight mixing was mind blowing. 2 of dubsteps best dj's imo.

pinch played such a big selection aswell to end off the night. a shame that it wasnt as busy as earlier but the stamina crew held it up for him.

i remember catching distance on my way in but didnt really fully hear his set. plastician smashed it aswell, as did bbk to my suprise.maximum's a big dj.

the mc's were orite

Yes, really enjoyed the night, was very good! Highlight for me was the Benga/Skream set, really smashed it. Pinch was on form too. Also quite enjoyed Kode 9's set, it was different from his ones I've been to recently.

No disappointments, even the sound was good in both rooms for once. Vibes were good, everyone clearly wanted to make the last one at The End a good one!

plastician smashed it.
amazing tune selection, and the little grime section he did was perfect, not too much, not too little.

Great set man, everyone was loving it!

Distance was wicked, crowd went mental to the last 4-5 tracks.

Wasn't really feeling the funky, but some of the grime was pretty cool, nice change of pace and variety.

Lots of hot girls there as well, which was nice!

Shout out to the random moshers behind me during the Skream/Benga set that caught me by surprise, knocking me over and making me headbutt the fit girl next to me... That cost me a few drinks!

Sick night!!!! skream and benga were brilliant, same with n type and youngsta, I missed alot of the night due to the massive smoking queue and the fact there were no set times (that I could find) still a massive night, does any one know if there will be any more forward and rinse nights again now that the end is closing?

What a sick final night at the End

it was a sick night, crowd was toooo hype up,

skream and benga were awsome, n-type and youngsta smashed it, but what do u mean swiftgyver bout skepta and jammer shouting over youngsta's set? i swear skepta wasnt there, was at the front nearly all night and didnt catch him and frisco kept chattin bout how skepta was still on road and wasnt there yet... he also didnt show for the bbk set... maximum did spank it tho.

all in all it was a heavy send off!

what i mean is...Skepta came into the dj booth during N-Type & Youngsta's set...he dropped some bars over 'Saxon'...crowd seemed to enjoy it for abit...after a few more verses Youngsta seemed to be getting slightly annoyed by it and to be fair the set didn't really need an mc...the tune selection and mixing was sublime and was more than enough...

when Jammer burst his way into the booth on a hype and pushed through everyone to wheel up a tune i think it was the final straw and so Skepta and the murkle man were asked to leave the mixing area...

i took pics anyway so when i get them developed i may well upload them as evidence that Skepta was there...

if jammer and skepta hadn't passed through that set would of been an abomination. every tune sounded the same. plastic. thankfully they were there and injected some energy into an otherwise stale set.
