after waiting some time for unexpected news that a dubstep scene will grew up in "southern spain" want like to add some thoughts.
i used to live two years in seville and even if i came back to cologne iam still conected to that place because of work and family. thats why i pass by there almost every 2 or 3 weeks. but dont want to bore you with my story just to say that i am really missing there that kind of culture, not only dubstep but also related stuff like dub, steppers dub, roots, jungle, grime...
i wont judge for places like murcia or madrid but in seville i cant find that kind of culture that for me is part of my live. this year i tried to arrange with some friends (wadadda, desmond denker...) a little tour but i failed because of to much work and other priorities. but i guess that has to be the way, keeping promoting and moving to build up some. i tell you that cologne/germany is not easy because clubs are expensive and weather to shitty to find good places, anyway its good to find people looking for the same idea and thats why i am quiet optimistic that things will change also in southern spain! just to look in the north to david m in la corunya or numaestro, i guess from barcelona, people which are buildet already up there scene, so please dont give up!
so if there are people from spain/portugal in this forum please connect and use this thread to comunicate and to share ideas!
saludos y un abrazo a todos!

i know that there's some guys in valencia booking nice names, think it's matter of time till' dubstep pop ups there in strenght..
portuguese steppas are more than up to get involved!

Is there anything going on anytime soon????
das nevez and alien pimp are in madrid maybe try get in touch with them..
not sure about clubs that might be open to dubstep, everything that i seen while i was there was a bit puntzpuntz oriented...
maybe yasta.. since they have dnb there? that cultural house, casa encendida had dmz.. so i dont know..
bass em'all amigos!!!

Check the events here! There have been a couple of things in Granada I think - dubstep vs DnB.
My suggestion is don't wait for others to come - do it yourself!!!! Get pro-active on this
Big ups

Re: When are hte big names next coming to south spain?
Alright guys, just wondered how the scene's progressing down South? My wife spent a year in Seville back in 2002 and we're considering moving back there next year or possibly somewhere else in Andalucia, any likelihood of me getting any gigs in that region without starting something up myself?

Hey, I've now moved to the North so have stopped looking for things down there. I know substance are still doing nights in Granada and Granada's a cool city to be at, but apart from that I've not seen much going on, I could be wrong though, you'd maybe have to go out there and search 1st.
You should get your own night started though if you move, I just started a night last night in Tarragona and the sound is totally new to a lot of people here, they seemed quite receptive to it though.
