I'm looking for some 4/4 dubstep bangers for a party.

Post by theone1_@hotmail.com » Wed Oct 29, 2008 5:17 am

My friend is having a party and I'm doing a dubstep set for him.. I want a few 4/4, more dancey, dubstep for the middle of the set.

I have a few already, off the top of my head, as I don't have the music with me now...:

track 1 off Around the World Vol. 1 (DZ or something)..
an Antiserum track from Bay Area Dubstep Vol 2.
Big Poppa 4/4 mix
Skream - F ick (when it comes out on Skreamizm 5)
More but I can't remember..

If there's any more you guys know of, it'd be greatly appreciated!!

You can't change your name, sorry, it plays havoc with the database. You'll have to re-register.

Welcome to the forum all the same!

Look for Dress 2 Sweat stuff - e.g. the new 12" by MOVES!!! (aka Starkey) ... It's kind of bassline house but goes well with dubstep. Actually if you can find it Starkeys new remix of Kotchy is pretty amazing.

check TRG's stuff, also some songs from Benga's album that are more on that tip. I also like to play reggaeish sounding dubstep a lot like Tes La Rok, the War singles.

have a sift through Kromestar's beats, he does some cool 4/4 bits. Dirty South, Panik Room (featuring Walsh), other names escape me right now but there's loads.
Mala - Bury Da Bwoy
Headhunter - Quanta, Locus Lotus
2562 - the B side to Channel 2, I can't remember the name.
Moody Boyz - Milk and Honey remix

Gotta agree with T, 2nd II None - Rompa Stompa is one of my biggest tunes at the moment!!

skream - fick
2562 - circulate
rusko - c'est la vie, audio bullys or when science fails remixes
12th planet - element 16 (sulphur)
zomby - rumours & revolutions

all bangers, in their own way.

Thanks for the replies, guys! Will have to get onto these tunes as soon as possible..

I know of most of the artists you mentioned, but specific tracks are more helpful. eg. I have loads of Skream, but only a handful are 4/4 beats (his latest tunes are real bangers though)

Any more suggestions is always welcomed! 8) :P

Big ups!

Mark Ashton - Roots Dyed Dark (Skream Remix). It's so minimal you can use it to add a thumping 4x4 kick to any tune.

Unitz - Wait A Minute
Rusko - hold on
Benga - better
Benga - Sleep Another Day
rusko - cockeny thug

you can find alot of rusko and caspa tunes that have bits of the 4x4 pattern in them (or at least a touch of it).
