Mate , why not just record yaself hitting pots and pans etc , any metal thing really then obviously add FX to it to buff it up and manipulate it.

Actually , theres a torrent out there somewhere , think I found it on www.btjunkie.com , Called 'World Traveller' in the form of an ISO. Its AKAI format but you can convert with the extreme sample convertor or a program which has a name along them lines. It has plenty of drum sounds as well as string instruments etc... and I think i remember steel drums being in there somewhere. Anyway , if that doesn't give you anything you like...I would suggest maybe investing in a 2nd hand steel drum? You would surely use it more than once in dubstep , live instruments are always good to have around anyway. Or maybe you have a relative/friend thats into playing drums or something that might be able to get you one? I dunno , im babbling on , just a few suggestions anyway.

Google soundfonts and then look for steel drum - won't be perfect, but with a bit of processing should be useable. Percussion soundfonts can be ok if you know what you're after
Hmm....
