Russian and Eastern European Sites Hosting released tunes...
Man fuck those guys. Have any of you producers or DJ's tried googling your name or your record label name, or the name of your mixes and gotten like 10 legit hits, with about 20 russian websites that are full of released Dubstep dumps?
Well I have news for them, their host has been informed.
In mother russia, music pirate you.
EDIT: This affects all levels of the Dubstep game, there are smaller labels and the bigger labels there. Any Distributors or labels want to know if your stuff is on the site get at me. Obviously you need to be able to Substantiate this claim, I'm not about to hook you up with a link so you can steal music, so fuck off.

I'm not saying there is nothing wrong with it - as I would be as vexed as the next man, but I think you are going to end up fighting a losing battle.kaatr wrote:heh, not much you can do about it considering in Russia it's not actually illegal to sell it if you have a license - if you have a license doesn't mean you need to pay royalties either. Same goes with Hong Kong and other deliberate and popular "off shore" hosting providers.
If you get one illegal tune removed then it's a start so good luck! I'm sure the whole of Dubstep is behind you.
dude... shits been like that since day one.
nothing you can do about it. if people wanna download the stuff for free, they will do it. finding the tracks is not a problem.
but my best guess is that most of the people who actually take time to find the goodies from a small genre like this, would feel a little stab in their heart if they'd download the tracks of the producers who hang out in the same forums..... people do care about the music too.

Not my intention. I named no sites though. Please delete this thread Mods.djfoster wrote:http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=35308
There are a few ways to work around this.
Some might not do much but its not totally 100% worthless:
1. You find out if they are on a US based server and mail the host regarding these sites violating the DMCA, fax them everything. The more you fax about it (enclose details about you owning the right of your music, screendumps etc)
2. You mail/fax Google about above.
Best of luck to you.
