Great to have another dubstep essential mix, they are very influential.
We already had Benga and Skream, couldn't we have someone like pinch or youngsta? Are they not as established as Rusko?
I suppose Rusko captures more of the zeitgeist in the bigger clubs? I wouldn't know cos I ain't been out it Dubstep clubs for a while in the UK, but thats the impression I get. I'm not trying to hate. I love Rusko and think he deserves immense success, Leeds comes good,

an N-Type essential mix would of been banging.
start off wid sum jungle, bit of garage, then a large chunk of dubstep.

yo biggest chopper I dropped that tune at a party in Toulouse, France and everyone went bonkers. Biggest tune of the night compared with other tracks from unitz , matty g, chase & status, kromestar, pangea, compound one, and joker. People say it's a rubbish tune but i say it's original.

lol wotever floats ur boat.
personally i find the sound he used on it quite shit and its one of the most unrhythmic things he has made. the more beats he brings out of that same style and sound the more it becomes rinsed so it has to be better and a bit more innovative than the previous tunes. dont get me wrong, i was feelin all the beats he brought out on the cockney knees up mix but the sound just loses its impact with me slightly overtime and everytime i hear new beats that are very similar sounding...

well I accept that argument I mean personally I think it's a controversial tune. Me and my friend even had disagreeing viewpoints about the track when it was released. I love the intro but hate it at the same time because it's not 140bpm and all you can do is drop it sound clash style. I can't argue the fact tho that it slays people on the dance floor, I was surprised!

I think Biggest Chopper is far from samey, quite original in fact. And it's not unrhythmic, It's challengingly rhythmical. Whether you like it or not, it's one of those tracks that triggers the "what the fuck?" reaction.
Given the general feeling that Rusko et al make functional, generic dancefloor-fodder, this track is a step in the right direction for a producer who is obviously very talented but seems to be struggling to break out of his popular tried-and-tested formula.
