Mount Kimbie & Hot City - BBC Radio1 - TUES

Post by mary anne hobbs » Sun Nov 23, 2008 10:55 pm

hello :)

coming up this week on the BBC Radio1 show..

two mixes from young raw UK producers about to make their debuts in January for Hotflush and Highpoint Lowlife labels..

Mount Kimbie and Hot City..

NB: they've only had a handful of days to turn these mixes around for me... (Stacy Epps had to postpone the session we'd planned with her due to a punishing tour schedule...) so this has been very much a spur of the moment thing...

new tunes from Appleblim & Geiom, Scuba, Subeena, King Cannibal, Distance, Grevious Angel, Kromestar, and tonz more..

Tuesday night >> Wednesday morning 2-4am
online all week at www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/maryannehobbs

m/a.. x

cheers everyone, honored to be doing this one! Is a testiment to the open-mindedness and fwd-thinking of 'dubstepers' that we've got so much support from here and can sit on the 'Dubstep' page without people getting too arsey. We've discovered so many good artists on this forum its just good to be involved.

thanks all

ps - we are going to chill the fuck out of the hot city dude..

pps - this hot city dude is actually rather good and can probably blend one track in to another a little better than us. Don't be hating on the (distinct lack of) mixing skills.
