Well seeing as it's a cut and paste of the original petition then I would say yeah. Could be wrong, but looks like someone has had a few cheeky Friday beers at lunch time at Number 10....

Hmm... where does it actually say that this is happening? The "Government Response" is just a copy/paste of the main text of the petition..?
Would be good if it does come good at least a bit... I think smoking being banned in the majority of places is fine (like manray says, it's nice generally going out and not stinking), but it was stupid that places like the cigar club on Wardour St had to close.... I mean, why the fuck would you be there if you worried about 2nd hand smoke?
I wouldn't get too excited, though...

Yes, yes and yes. I work in the tobacco ( Cigars ) industry and this is the first I've heard about this as well, so me thinks it's a fuck up.Magma wrote:Hmm... where does it actually say that this is happening? The "Government Response" is just a copy/paste of the main text of the petition..?

As I understand the ban was more for the health of the workers and non smokers that were forced to breath it in because there wasn't anywhere you could go without getting a lungful, not about placing blame or copping out.DID wrote:i know. i completely understand why people don't like being in a smokey atmosphere but they should at least have smoking rooms, and if a non smoker goes i there its his own fault
If you were able to apply for smoking license then why bother banning in the first place? Think about it. The government aint gonna go back.
