Interesting, I had never realised that about the Stream quality so I may try and record the FM...having real issues with the software at the moment.

I've got a DAB radio with a memory card slot so I might try recording this one tonight. Agreed, the stream from Listen Again isn't always the greatest but I'll be clicking the link anyway!

recording the stream is laughable ...

DAB is 128 kbps on R1 -

Use a FM outdoor ariel and get 192 kbps

DAB is not the saviour of radio, FREEVIEW is !!!

DAB - Freeview

Radio 1 128k - 192k
1xtra 128k - 160k
Radio 2 128k - 192k
Radio 3 192k - 192k
Radio 4 128k - 192k
5 Live 80k* - 96k*
5 Live SX 64k* - 96k*
6 Music 128k - 160k
BBC7 80k* - 160k
Asian Network 64k* - 128k
World Service 64k* - 64k*

Classic FM 160k - n/a
Virgin 160k - n/a
Everything else 128k** - 128k

* = mono
** = or less if it's mono.

If you want to regularly record from Freeview I highly recommend getting a DVB-T tuner for your computer as you'll get better quality with less hassle, diskspace and CPU usage compared to doing an analogue capture from a set-top box.

You can get DVB-T tuners for under £40 now

ah man....
tried to record tha breezeblock set and messed it up big style, ended up tapin the audio from bbc1 all night - what an idiot - Was just wonderin if n e one managed to get it cause the stream is pretty poor quality.

its well annoying to know that in a little drawer at the bbc is a nice DAT copy of the whole night... just sitting there...hmmm...i feel a heist comin on

I dont see what the problem is waiting for one measly week to obtain the download? So what if people ask for it, just direct them to the BBC site until the link there is done. The more people that hit the "listen again" function the more the BBC sees Dubstep is on the rise and that Mary Ann is doing a good job. Surely people understand this hence Mary Ann pointing it out?

This kinda thing really annoys me.

:a:

thanks for the link but i agree with distintion. people need to use the listen again link until the week is over and then listen to the mp3. if you support the breezeblock and want to keep hearing m/a push dubstep then show your support by bumping the listen again.
