quick and dirty cubase automation tutorial (pics etc)

Post by deadly_habit » Mon Dec 15, 2008 12:47 am

forgot who i promised this to, but doing it up now real quick watch this space

ok this is using fm8 with a couple of fx on a send fx channel

initially using fm8 and a tweeked preset which sounds like this with my little creative line

next i added my filter of choice (simplon) on the main fm8 channel

now click on the w (write button) under the fm8 channel and choose your insert fx function. in this cause insert fx: simplon frequency

next using the draw and shape tools i draw in my frequency automation

and the resulting audio is this http://www.zshare.net/audio/52892792e41f7c2a/

then i do a send to an fx channel with a distortion unit and something else (not going into specifics as you can't have all my secrets)

and the resulting sound end product http://www.zshare.net/audio/52892820449ce6cf/

any questions post away think i cover what was asked though

forgot to say after you draw in your automation switch off write mode and switch to read mode (r button)
other wise when recording anything live your orig automation could be lost

heh i have a legit copy all upgraded
just the h2o dongle emu runs the calls quicker and more efficiently then the actually usb dongle and hey it frees up a usb port
that and some negative experiences with steinberg tech support just trying to get my serial after i lost it left me rather bitter and with no qualms pirating their products in the future
but yeah busted
