Acid Pro 7 Help - Importing audio

Post by silentk » Sun Dec 21, 2008 8:14 pm

Okay, so i recently started using Acid Pro 7 and theres one thing thats really annoying me.

when i open up the explorer and have a little browse through my samples, i click one and most of the time it previews fine, but a lot of samples, seem to have been stretched, if i drag it into the sequencer i get the same thing, like a hi-hat sample will have been stretched over and entire beat or something ridiculous like that. and some have been mad shorter, from like, a half second to a matter of milliseconds.

any ideas?

BTW all of my samples work fine in FL so it shouldn't be a problem with the files themselves.

oh, and im on XP if that makes any difference.

Acid Pro is shit. I have number 6 on my Windows setup & it does the same thing, and could not see any option to change it. Solution don't use Acid for composition, I hope you didn't pay for it!

All Acid should be used for is a VST host. Then export the synth and midi as audio. Then arrange in a real DAW like FL, Cubase, Logic etc.

acid is a fine bit of software

if you read the manual, youll fine you can change the sample from loop to one shot.

Draw the sample that you want then right click it and click on "CLIP properties" makes sure not to click on "properties". In the box that says "ACID type" change it to one shot. Acid automatically sets the sample to beatmapped if its a long sample, short samples get one shot and samples around one or two bars are set up as loops. Usually its very convenient.
