After a storming opening night, COLONY is back at The Russian (formerly A10 Russian Bar) with a regular monthly slot and a sweet little line-up to get things rolling for '09.

Heading up the bill is South London's Sigha: DJ, producer and co-promoter of the wicked Medium party at Plastic People. Operating in the murky grey area between dub(step) and techno and with his first 12" about to drop on Hotflush Two (9th Jan), expect only the finest in deep, stripped back bass-music from the man. Second up, all the way from Leipzig, Germany, is Sub.Island founder & resident, Fujikoma. Having pushed the dubstep sound in Germany since its inception, honing his skills alongside the likes of Mala, Kode9 and Martyn at what is East Germany's foremost dubstep night, we're delighted to be giving him his first London gig and some much-deserved UK exposure.

Support comes from long-time collaborator Macphellimey, bringing a crunching selection of hybrid dub/jungle/2-step beats, and residents MB & CB (on drum n bass and techno duties respectively).

Entry is free before 11. All welcome.

Upstairs dude. Better sound, bigger bar and a far bigger overall capacity. In general, the man action will always take place upsatirs, with mellower vibes down in the basement (which only fits 40 punters at a push). That's the plan, anyway...
