Yeah it's got some classics, most of it is just boring shit though, so called 'deep' dubstep.

I find a lot of the tunes don't really deliver, i've never really liked anything by Kode9 or those kind of producers, not to say i'm at the rusko and capsa end of the spectrum because that would imply that hyperdub is deep and meaningfull, when to me it just sounds like really weak beats with not a lot else going on, reminds me of liquid drum n bass, or some really bad loungey complilation cd from camden market.

He is entitled to his own opinion, just like the thread starter and the people who posted in this thread so far.

And it's not mindless negativity... he gave specific reasons why he doesn't like hyperdub.

I just don't want this thread to turn into an ad hominem attack fest for the simple reason that one person defends an unpopular opinion.

Yeah, one of my closest friends thinks everything on hyperdub apart from Burial is complete shite. I don't agree in the slightest, but I'm always keen to hear the opinions of people who have different tastes, so long as they're not just being antagonistic for the sake of it.

I feel that hyperdub records are like spaceships and time-machines... Kode9 and his crew make tunes that blow my fucking mind and make me feel like I'm in another world. That mix they did for MAH was ridiculous.

One of my favourite labels. Hyperdub, DMZ and deep medi running things.
