Post by cooptrol » Tue Jan 13, 2009 1:21 pm

This set was executed live using 2 classic Electribes and a miniKaossPad
It was recorded on January 8 at Tono Studios (Montevideo).

It is the set that I'm presenting in the next February/March european tour. Check http://www.myspace.com/cooptrol for dates and cities.

interesting set, cool to hear something that's on hardware, my only critisism is that a lot of the sounds can get a bit boring when it's all hardware, and some of the beats are a bit weak.. less clicky clicky and more focus on decent hats bass and snare.

I agree. Anyway Im pretty happy with the outcome since this was my first approach to hardware made dubstep. And I have to say I havent used hardware since 2004, when I got my first laptop.

Even so, its incredible how dubstep it sounds if you take into account that his was made with machines built in 1999. And its much more fun to watch than a laptop or 2 decks...

I'm planning to add a sampler in the setup to spice it up..
