What was your first dubstep gig?

Post by missedthebus » Tue Jan 13, 2009 10:42 pm

What was the first dubstep gig you went to??

For me, it was valve sound system Renegade Hardware night at the Reniassance Rooms in 06, with:
Slaughter Mob
Hatcha
Search & Destroy
Scientist
Youngsta
D'Script & Se7en
Skream
Distance
Walsh

Hosts: Vicious :: Dangerous :: Crazy D :: Pointblank

Id forgotten most of the night apart from being aurally raped by the valve system (first time  ) so looked it up on dontstayin, then thought Id post here!
peace

first time i heard dubstep and already knew what it was i have no idea who i saw, i actually went to see dieselboy, hive, gridlok, and photek, but there was some awesome dubstep in the "side room".

first time i went SPECIFICALLY for dubstep was to see Breakage, D-Code, and Kozee at Fat City. was a great show.

it was above some bar in a tiny smoke filled room in Toronto, there were about 10 people there sitting on couches/dancing and an old guy was playing garage/2-step, then man switched over...

2006

youngsta

it was shit, totally put me off going to dubstep nights for ages, i still think a whole night of just dubstep is boring now, if the artist is really really interesting it's bearable, I saw Bass Clef later that year and it blew my mind, restored a bit of faith.
