Gescom-Electro of Unparalleled Oddness...
Inspired by comments made on the Drexciya thread, I thought I'd start a likkle ting about Gescom, oft misinterpreted as a mere Autechre offshoot,
Who knows?
The Md release,
The Skam E.ps(Out to Geiom!)
(*edit* misspelled 'unparalleled', Duh)

Been listening to them now for a few years (through my mate), and like alot of the stuff they do.
Minidisc is pretty awesome, bung that shit on random, brah, it all blends.
And, of course, can't forget the Keynell stuff. It's almost hard to believe it was released in 1996, that album is amazing. Keynell 4 is a fucking tune!

I've gotta lotta love for Gescom and this thread.
The Sounds Of Machines Our Parents Used EP (on Clear) was one of the first bits of vinyl I ever bought. The 14 minutes plus electro track is still the bizness.
Both Keynell records - the Skam one and the Warp one - are timeless.
My favourite Gescom release ever is the four track EP they did way back when. Think it was Skam 003. Beautiful stuff. It sounds post - apocalyptic.
Should also mention the lovely untitled track that's on MASK 400.
It seems crazy that most of these records were only ever released in editions of 500. Wish more people knew this music.
