All the gigs we've played so far have just been the two of us with beats running off the laptop.

In the last couple of months we've been practicing with a drummer should be gigging with him by the start of feb!

Havent got any vids so far but were getting our set on thursday filmed

What dya think of the tunes?

the lyrics are a lol on the wrong way

"you're going about it the wrong way"

it would be cool if this was live
with a drummer and with no laptops, just synths
and delays
Only the madman is absolutely sure.

i havent listened to the clips. But sounds like a great project. But yes i would def. get a drummer, and a bass player. I would contact Jazzsteppa as well, ask them questions etc. Keep it up, i love live acts and they stand out !

yeah is gonna be sick with the drummer

as for getting rid of the laptop don't think so we've had some jams with just synths but its a bit too minimalist for our liking, alright for some of the set but not the whole thing it would be a completely different entity.

anyway our sets go down heavy as they are so if aint broke why fix it??

I would keep the laptop as well. Gives things structure. As well band members cant make it out for a practice, then you can still write tunes. As suggested before email other similar acts and talk with them, may open doors for gigs, collabs, and suggestions.

yeah safe man we're big fans of jazzsteppa,, they might have some good contacts for us. theyre a much different style though we got more electro and hip hop influence.

not so sure if we need a bass player there's a fuck loads of sub in all the tunes and most i play the wobbles and other bass lines over the top.

cheers for the advice man[/quote]

i guess i was thinking a bass lead, more mid range sound. But good luck with the project!

this sounds like a really cool project. I play percussion and would love to join something like this. Too bad i live in Melbourne! And maybe a drummer with some V-drums for different sample sets... and someone just to handle fx... and a synth player or two.. a video would be great!

so far the drummer has been using a real kit with a v-kit as well for some crazy percussion sounds. we started withjust v-drums but you cant beat the heavyness of a live kit!! hes looking to get a midi pad to trigger samples and visuals with as well!

ill get a video posted on here hopefully friday

peace
