Now now now......that sounds like you're talking about the Mars Volta.

Tool had their momments but yeah they never really impressed me that much. I was more of a Melvins man.

The irony of your post is that your avatar looks a lot like a tool video

someone will probably pull me up on my use of the word irony but im pretty sure that it is correct

It's true what you say about the fans being pretentious, but the same could be said about anything really.. dubstep is watered down dub with a bunch of tossers on a forum arguing about the same things everyday..?

Tool were an amazing band, and it wasn't just them, it was everything that came with it, the art, the whole history behind all the members, previous bands, collaborations etc.. because of tool I got into so many different things.

OH SHIT! I like you.

Tool are very good at what they do, but I never got into it. I respect them enough though.

However, I'd like them to cop to being gay for Neurosis. I mean, come on, putting ISIS, who are trying to be you mixed with Neurosis, as an opener is bad enough...

Ænima or stfu

I listen to all their albums from time to time, but Ænima's still my favourite.

Yeah Neurosis are kick ass. Funny how bands like Nirvana & Tool get/got loads of coverage when other bands who are quite frankly faaaaaaar better get/got no coverage or media attention? Oh well such is life.

Saw Tool at Hammersmith Apollo during the 10,000 Days tour. They were immense.

Einstein was a genius as was Darwin. Maynard is a rock musician. Lets not blur lines here!

It's always great when artists give you great banter in between songs.....but yeah who cares if they don't.....it kind of gives them an air of mystery when they don't.

I think one artist who has fantastic banter with the crowd and comes off as a hilarious best friend is Roots Manuva,

seeing them live is an experience. dudes got some lungs!!! i do admit without all the jibjab between songs, it sort of detaches them from the whole experience, but there definitely is a lot to excite the senses.

(sort of a sidenote i suppose-when i was in sedona, az a few years ago i met this woman who was teaching maynard and his friends http://www.floweroflife.org/ this. apparently after learning a bit about the merkaba, a perfect circle was born.)
