I couldn’t agree more! Skream was one of the first artists, if not the first artist that truly got me into the Dubstep sound. Furthermore just when you think he can’t get any better with his sound he switches and goes in a completely different direction. Such diversity!

Big up Skream :D

to be honest i struggle with beatz all time, but it's all about being ballsy? :o if i did'nt have any dpr/groovechronicles would'nt be around.
That why i encourage producer that send me tracks to have a go and be different (not to different) because it can only push and better the sound/scene. :D :D
That's why ukg (you cant knock it ) was so big because everyone did their own thing (birth of dubstep) .. otherwise we would all sounded like each other (no way forward) .. as i've always said "forward in da future".. big up all the ballsy creative producers out :!: there if you have any good beats send over via my drop box @ soundcloud http://soundcloud.com/dpr

I think UKG owes A LOT to artists like Tuff Jam, Todd Edwards and Anthill Mob. The ones you listed, with all due respect relate in my eyes more to what people now look back on as forming the UKG sound that influenced dubstep. It's easy to look and try to rewrite history but to be honest, UKG wasn't so much all about those people (at the time).

Exactly, from day :)
UKG was made up of 4x4 or 2step ...so some people beg to differ. The thread is aimed at generations innovators ..... 2step was more experimental at the time which is why i chose those names. 4x4 was slightly more obvious but point taken.

For real, sorry, I wasn't trying to take anything away from people who have pushed things forward, the ones you listed mean a lot to the music... lets continue to push things forward!
