Anyone here a fan??? Edan's first album "Primitive Plus" is superb & the follow up "Beauty & The Beat" was probably the best album to come out in 2005......pure class. The guy is a genius and funny as hell.
I caught him live as part of Scotland's TripTych Music festival. The first night he headlined in Edinburgh and the 2nd he was on the bill with Belle & Sebastian??!! It was hilarious watching all these Belle & Sebastian fans faces when Edan came on and blew shit up!
I'm sure Edan must be on the verge of releasing a new album soon???
If you love Hip Hop and haven't had the pleasure of hearing this guys records do yourself a favour and get hold of them.
Edan "Beauty & The Beat"

Yeah, he’s definitely a cool guy and pretty humble with it. Even signed a couple of my Edan 12”s .
Saw him do a free PA at Spreadlove some years back, shortly before Primitive Plus was released. Towards the end of the performance UK emcee Doc Brown called him out from the audience to battle
I remember that Doc Brown was proper lean on booze at this point and even asked me for the last of my pint when the bar had stopped serving
Anyway, Edan responded by sayin’ that he wasn’t down to battle but would cipher with him outside
True to his word he did hang back outside after the show for quite some time listening to heads rhyming and quietly showing his appreciation
Some of the guys were actually pretty good. Doc Brown included despite his by then very drunken state. Even kicked a couple of verses myself
one of the rappers who had a video camera with him even got Edan to drop an accapella of ‘Drop some smooth lyrics’ for his girlfriend as it was her favourite Edan song. Though understandably tired at this point he did oblige which I thought was a nice gesture
I’ve not seen him perform since but would like to. His tag team rhyme partner on stage Insight is pretty dope in his own right
They’ve got good chemistry between them
