What has happened to DSF

Post by spaniard » Fri Mar 20, 2009 10:41 am

Bloody hell, as the title says whats happened to the Forum man.

Bare people accusing people of this and that. Alll the talk about so and so ruining dubstep, US vs UK its all bullshit. Well il tell the masses something, it aint Caspa, Rusko, Snoop or Ketamine its the minority of the 20,000 plus forum members with their childish comments and accusations.

Whoever accused Plastician of making money off the snoop track is a proper dick mate,

People like this guy are destroying the vibes of the forum, What happened to people appreciating the music and the people who have taken dubstep to where it is.

I thought the thread would start friendly debate, some people like it some people don't. But when i see the snoop thread full of negativity getting as many posts as something good like the dmz 4th birthday thread then you know something is messed up.

All theres left to say is fuck the haters, moaners and accusers.

And big up all the producers, djs, promoters, heads who go to the raves, buy the tunes and support the scene.

It's called freedom of speech.

People have different opinions on different things.... that's life.

A forum is meant to be a place to voice those opinions and discuss topics (without being a twat).

The bigger the scene gets the more twats jump on board.

DMZ = Deep
Snoop Dogg Tune = Weak

No beef... just opinions.

dubstep, or garage or whatever you call it, it always survives and reinvents itself.

I know what you mean, thats the purpose of the forum debate, but not hate thread and accusing people of money grabbing thats just not on.

The difference between discussion and accusation is that with accusation your questioning someones integrety. You didnt come across as a twat dont worry.

A new shit tune emerged..some think its the dubstep breakthrough..some think its shit..some don't even like hip hop..hell some might not know who snoop is

regardless of how shit it is it still is a "big thing" I suppose, so it isn't surprising that there is as much going on about it as there is..

gone and forgotten in no longer than 3-7 days.

Problem solved.

However, the US vs UK bullshit and this guy I've seen going around calling every1s productions shitty and this and that...I haven't a clue where that's coming from

You make a very good point but I think your kinda contradicting yourself on the last bit. We all know its slowly becoming more and more fashionable to like dubstep and therefore more and more clear that the inevitables gona happen. I think a lot of people feel it ain't fair to big up all producers, djs and promoters equally because now were got people associating their talentless but stragely popular name with dubstep. In that sense some people on this forum feel were having the music robbed of us by the less talented, i mean i really dont understand why "wild animals" get a producer credit BEFORE c&s on the snoop dogg millionaire thing. Its gonna bring a crowd I really dont want to see anywhere near dubstep. We might just see paris hilton walking in to FWD!

I suppose it all boils down to two kinds of people on this forum: those that want to see dubstep enter mainstream and those that wan't to keep it niche. Its also become very fashionable to dislike producers like caspa/rusko etc. if you support the latter (go listen to acton dread, rock bottom and victoria secret and try telling me they were made by people destroying dubstep). However, it looks like most of the big dogs are ready to lead dubstep into the top 40 so the whole debate has become moot now anyway. Just gotta sit back and wait for all those facebook status' to change to youtube links to overhyperd dubstep tunes.

Were at the beginning of something big and everyone on DSF is gonna have to accept that sooner or later. Dubstep ain't invincible unfortunately, its just another form of media that can and will be exploited.

This is just my opinion, I'm honestly not trying to shitstir like some of those on that snoop thread.
