I've got to say, I'm a bit confused as to why a copper would want to/be allowed to cover his face with a scarf when donning riot gear.... smacks of making yourself hard to identify if things kick off:
But then my main reaction is:
Six of one:
Half a dozen of the other:
Oh, and LOL at the 'anarchist' in the New Era cap! Way to give it to the Man!

one thing that really struck me was the fear in the cops faces in a few of the pic - the dog one for example, the copper looks like he got dog handling duty for the first time 15 minutes before that picture was taken.
this one shits me right off tho' - illegal use of baton. bastard.
they go though a good bit of training on how to use them effectively and this is definitely not part of the training.

Ah I just realised something, I must be just out of this shot cause I was very near to this. The dubluke guy in the corner was some annoying press geek and I vividly remember his ginger hair for some reason. That guy getting baton to the face wasn't violent at all, I've got footage of him shouting at the police about reading books. I remember that there was no way he would kick off but I guess shouting about books got to the police and just hit him or something.
Edit: Just realised thats my camera below dubluke, big ups on my fisheye

Never got that; that is why fashion is seen as somehow more consumerist and frivilous than music, computers, sport etc. Is it because anarchism and lefties in general are often shot through with a kind of ascetic moralism? I am an advocate of anarchism and am sat here in levis and a billabong hoodie
People confuse anarchism with chaos and dystopia for some reason. I blame the Jews.

haha i'm way thinner in the face than that guy!! plus i'm like, 10x more cool
this whole thing was really fucked up, just shows how little provocation it takes for the police to get bloodthirsty, and how they adapt a situation to try and get people to kick off so they can crack some heads (penning everyone in and not letting them leave) someone i work with was there on the day had a pretty shitty time, got penned in for about 6 hours, couldn't get any water or food during that time, couldn't go for a slash or anything, apparantly they wouldn't even let this pregnant woman leave

still to add to what i said before, it works both ways, the police were dickheads, but the people that responded with/instigated violence (which wasn't in self defence) are just as bad IMO

Does anyone else think that press huddle is far too convenient. They just happen to be all huddled together, cameras pointed as someone chucks a monitor through a window?
One organised photo opportunity.

Not really no, firstly the press would not risk staging the loting of an RBS bank to make a good photo. Secondly, when you're in a protest or a demo, loads of people take their own camera along and the press follow them. Some of the photos I have, although not as dramatic as that, are a bit like that -- they look staged.
