Hi,
I've been producing a while, and recently i've tried producing some dubstep in ableton.
I've made my wobblesound with massive. I don't have a midi keyboard, so i work with my mouse or computer keyboard. If I hit a key of the computer keyboard, my wobble sounds perfect. But everytime i trie to record it sounds really fucked up, and totally not how it has to be. I really don't know what i do wrong.. I tried also to sidechain it to my beat, but that doesn't help.
I've uploaded an example of how it sounds when it's recorded:
http://www.lexic.be/example.wav
anyone that can help me to record my wobble..? Or can tell me what i do wrong?
My wobble sounds normal if i hit a key of the computer keyboard, but i can't record it or use it, because it sounds everytime like the example and not how it has to be.. quite strange.. so plz help me ;p
thx!

This is a well known problem. The wobble consists of waves. And if you stop playing the sound and then hit a key again it will start later on in the wave. This is called phasing, if i'm correct (correct me if im wrong).
The solution to this is to make sure you have "retrigger" on. And in Massive click the osc tab. You see "oscillator phases". Turn on "restart via gates" and play with the settings underneath it. By changing these settings you'll control where in the wave the sound starts each time you hit a key.
I had the same problem and it drove me crazy for like 2 weeks. Till someone explained it to me.
Good luck!

You need to change some settings in your preferances -
Click preferances
Click audio,
Change I/O sample rate to 44100
input buffer size 0
Output buffer size 720 samples
driver error compensation 0ms
That should make it work 100%
Happy wobbling!
