Baleric Dubstep

Post by alex crump » Fri Apr 17, 2009 3:04 pm

Caspa's remix of Deadmau5 blew my mind, any chance any knows where i can get it or when its released, if it even is going to be.

Also, any other examples of baleric dubstep you can point my way?

And finally, keep an eye out for my baleric dubstep productions on www.myspace.com/alexcrumpmusic, they should be done within the next month after ive got all my revision out the way.

At first i thought that was a complex way of describing the rhythm of a song.

LMAO at Oakenfolds hair!

I dont think its classed as that kind of balearic lmao

think Caspa's intended it as a balearic as in balearic island AKA Ibizia club music AKA trance lmao

and LOL at my complex rhythmic pattern description ;)

There was a topic called 'Trancey dubstep', balearic dubstep sounds like eastern europe stuff to my head (balkan..)
I am likin this spacey change that's coming about tho, the atmosphere's a good mix and makes a damn good change from grinding, bit-crushed crap...

Balearic Islands are the name given to the islands Ibizia, Menorca and Majorca

Hence why i think its intended as the Ibizia style trance and Deadmau5 is trancey (more minimalist really)

but yeh, thats my theory :)

as i said the only link i could come up with for caspa's name of the baleric dubstep remix of deadmau5

was the fact it sounded trancey and obviously ibizia is big for playing trance.

i could also be wrong though, someone clear it up?

Balearic (or however you spell it) is music aimed at people in Ibiza coming up for a mad rush and loving their brother from another mother.
The sort of cliched thing you see in films about dance music. Sort of trance influenced i guess, not much to do with techno, and i wouldn't even want to associate dubstep with it to be honest. Same way, i would love to disown Caspa from dubstep.

Yeah thats what i clocked

Caspa declared the new genre in the Deadmau5 remix entitled "caspa's balearic dubstep remix"

but yeah,

And why the hatred for Caspa (other than maybe his name is gettin a big commercial?)

And im trying to spawn a fusion between Dubstep and Trance, not done yet, ill let you know when though

In my eyes, it does mix well, however i dont know how everyone else will react :)

EZ bro
