Other day got given copies of Masta Killa - Made in Brooklyn , Inspectah Deck - Resident Patient, and Method Man - 4:21.
Meth's sounds real promising, like someone he propper respects just told he was a sell out and he's gonna prove he isn't if it kills him. Couple of dubious RnB tinged ones but some serious focused anger [wiley style] and some real heavy tracks.
MK is on the stealth wisdom tip with one track with just drums which is cool. i haven't checked enough of inspecta's yet to comment but sounds alright.
Anyone checked any of these at all? Be interested to hear what people are saying......

when you say since his debut do you include his debut?
his output has always been patchy imo, but he's still a sick mc, his voice alone does it
fav. recent method track is afterparty with ghostface, that is some funky bizness, good time rhymin. also incredible is the outro to that album ('Ridin For'...not actually featuring himself! Who is Black Ice? Anyone?completely stunning track).
but i have to say i find his long players essentially unlistenable straight-through, stand-out tracks here and there but so inconsistent

not really a meth fan is all, hes always seemed like a novelty act next to the more accomplished wu members.probabbly due to the fact that dude cant write, and he probabbly doesnt even write anymore...but whatever.
wu tang could consist of rza and gza solely, and i would be much happier.

are you mad?
you would prefer to go without ghostface, raekwon and odb?!
you're nuts to say that
one of the sickest things about wu-tang as a crew was the diversity, so many styles contrasting and complimenting

just my opinon bro.
the diversity in that clan was crap after 97'.
i mean really think about it, there was:
93-enter the wu tang
94-tical
95-liquid swords
95-cuban linx
95-return to the 36 chambers
96-ironman
97-wu tang forever
take anything past a debut from one of those guys and its mediocre at best. the only one was has done anything of intrest past that has been ghostface, mastah killas ok, but he was really small time until recently.
the best tunes hes had was on afu-ra's album IMO.
not saying that they where not great for 4 or 5 years.
cause they where...

i agree that past that point it went very sharply downhill (again in agreement excepting ghostface, pretty toney is sick)
i thought when you said you'd be happier with wu = gza & rza you meant full-stop, at any point! i.e. 36 chamber minus other 7 members, no cuban linx, no ironman, no return to 36 chambers!
i forgot that the thread was about recent output, apologies

hahaha
I thought we determined that no one is allowed to have an opinion here?
So back on topic -what are the new wu solo albums like recently?
I am curious and My mind remains open.
Also did anyone catch them at Rock the Bells?

Solo albums patchy as fuck generally, bought a couple and just flogged them on e-bay. Still liking the ODB stuff though, although Osirus was the last one I bought. Nobody sounds like total chaos like Ol' Dirty
Mind you I really liked his version of Don't Go Breakin my Heart with Macy Grey - never has such tune destruction made me laugh so much. Sad to think Elton makes money from this but apart from that...
Hmm....

suprisingly, i like Fishscale quite a bit. have not heard all the other ones mentioned yet.
on a mostly-unrelated tip: U-god requested me on myspace the other day. that made me chuckle

That's exactly it. My favorite Wu member changes every 5 minutes.
