just moved to Bath in England on my boat SOUNDCLASH time

Post by dabadan » Sun Apr 26, 2009 10:37 am

yeah Ive been a hip hop & dub/glitch/electronica selecter for about 4 years seriously now and have just moved to Bath on my boat(wich is dope) and wanna get some soundclashes going down the towpath as a few members of the boater community own land next to the canal to do this on.

AND WHY PAY BAR PRICES FOR BOOZE AND HAVE TO KEEP WALKING OUTSIDE TO SMOKE when you can bring ya own stella etc and blaze some erb freely away from the corny masses.

outta town inna sound!

get some graf/illustration battles going on aswell on backdrop fabrics free barbq and a nice fire pit.

Ive also been running a nice little residentsy in Reading for the last year and a half called sofa sounds collective with 8 other dj/selecters in the crew, 2 of wich are the 2nd drop records brothers.

I want to find a venue in Bath to start a new sofa sounds night and do a Bath to Reading connection bring a car of 4 talented Bath dj's ,artists and dope entertainment style to be honest and myself back to Reading every other month on the 3rd friday of the month and bring 5 of the best Reading entertainers to the Bath residentsy every other month.

I've also just had my mix cd reviewed in the last ever issue of hip hop connection magazine by dj yoda and it was recieved very well by him (ignoring all current trends and going straight for that head nod ish!)I'll be selling these on the streets at gigs and possibly out of drop records and detour? if Steve and Adam dig the vibes on it.

anyone interested in working with me on these ideas?

anyone wanna come soundclash me or drop me a mix cd demo.

peace

I'm down for helping you set stuff up, yooo. Would be interested in running a night with you too, if you wanna hit the clubs, I run Rocksteady in Moles and wouldn't mind doing something a bit different, 'specially with hip-hop and maybe more live music. Oh and you have to get that young Sluga to play, he's a doll.

Ive got the boat near the bridge at the end of hawton row ( I think thats the name of the street) cant miss my boat its the only wooden 30 foot sea boat about, its prettty shanty in a good way. I'm gonna be at the dub night run by Alan who lives on the dub boat its on saturday the 9th at assembly inn or rooms I'm not sure.
Ive got all 3 of my ghetto blasters working now so may rock out a few tunes tonite if the weathers ok and have a fire pit.
I'm def up for collaberating with anyone in Bath and am managing some really talented dj's & street artists from the Reading area and a couple from London.

personally I'm a selecter not a dj so it's all about tune selection for me rather than super tight beatmatching.
