Reclaim the Dancefloor is the brand new offering from Ibiza’s premier live music promoters – an innovative and talent driven club night that will deliver the very best international DJ’s at Eden every Tuesday following Ibiza Rocks, from 16 June to 8 September.
Boasting an exceptional line-up that includes an incredible FIVE appearances from musical genre blending masters, 2manydjs (www.soulwax.com), Reclaim the Dancefloor will also bring Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and Kissy Sellout, dynamic dance duo Digitalism, DJ sets from festival headliners Pendulum and rising stars Chase & Status into the mix. Together with a whole host of other hot names and cutting edge sets in the second room from some of the live acts playing Ibiza Rocks, Reclaim the Dancefloor is the next crucial step in the regeneration and rejuvenation of San Antonio and in Ibiza, generally.
Reclaim the Dancefloor is set to inspire an island club-scene too reliant upon an ageing crowd and tiresome VIP culture. This brand new club night quite literally invites a new generation to ‘Reclaim the Dancefloor’ and reclaim the original spirit of Ibiza. No ridiculous entry fees, overpriced drinks or ageing VIP’s, just supreme talent! With an already stellar line up and many more guest DJs still to be announced, Reclaim the Dancefloor promises to deliver an unbeatable and unrivalled club night experience, at unbelievably great value. Bucking the Ibiza trend of high entry fees, advanced Ibiza Rocks ticket sales will include FREE entry* into Reclaim the Dancefloor.
On bringing on board young UK club promoters Metropolis and Wax: On and launching Reclaim the Dancefloor, Ibiza Rocks Promoter Andy McKay says: ‘The land of dad house where money talked is being replaced. Nobody’s trying to stop dad-dancing, we are just giving people the choice not to have to move to his beat. Youth is the island’s vibrant new currency.’
Booked for what will be five phenomenal performances, 2manydjs said: "We've always really liked the vibe playing live at Ibiza Rocks over the past couple of years so getting involved with Reclaim the Dancefloor! was an easy decision. The line-ups are going to be very special for us and the people in Ibiza. This is exactly what the island needs right now and we are very glad to be a part of it."
Ibiza Rocks prides itself on consistently delivering the freshest sounds and the launch of new club night Reclaim the Dancefloor is further proof of this. Reclaim the Dancefloor will bring the very best electronic music DJ’s to the main room, whilst the back room will echo with the spirit of Ibiza Rocks, fusing the best in indie/rock/disco and featuring exclusive, intimate DJ sets from some of the live acts appearing at Ibiza Rocks throughout the summer and a monthly party from Daisy Heartbreaker presents High Voltage.
As well as embracing and encapsulating the sound of a fresh faced, youth focused scene on the island, Reclaim the Dancefloor will support some of the UK’s most promising club nights, by inviting a different brand to participate in a number of activities each week - hosting a pool party at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, a pre-party at Bar M, and a whole room at Reclaim the Dancefloor itself! Birmingham's Bigger than Barry, Cardiff’s CYNT and Sheffield’s Club Pony and Threads are just a few of the club nights set to step up and Reclaim the Dancefloor this summer!
Bringing young, fresh club promoters into the fold further feeds the needs of the younger generation and fulfills the next step in the evolution of the island, driven by Ibiza Rocks. Advance ticket purchases offer access to not one, but two top nights – e.g Vampire Weekend (18/8) at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel will also give free entry* to see 2manydjs headline at Eden – incredible and affordable packages and line-ups all summer long!

Dont get me wrong I love Ibiza though I havent been for 15 years, but in my mind its not really a place where dubstep will work. I suppose stuff like 16 Bit - "Twice", Mr Lager - "Tell Me", La Roux "Skream Remix" would go down a treat though. Actually the more I think about the more I can see it,but cant see Loefah really fitting the vibe

There will be lots and lots of Dubstep in Ibiza this Summer, I suggest you all join this group

Dont do the Facebook thing mate, but curious as to why you would put on a Dubstep night in Ibiza! To me dubstep is a city music to be played in cities. Ibiza is a beautiful mediteranean island with a laid back vibe. I'm getting a horrible vision of loads of pissed up english lads who have had too much sun/beer wobbling about to chase & status

Yeah sorry mate. Ibiza's a lovely place, just think dubstep is a bit too urban to work out there. Maybe Im wrong - as I said its been 15 years since I was last there. I would've thought Ayia Napa was the place for some sunshine and bass?Bit harsh mate. Jus wanted to take my missus sumwhere sunny, where I could hear a bit of bass: thus pleasin us both.

no i dont think it would work and i dont think it's needed to be honest. i really enjoy going out there each year and hearing music that i never listen to really otherwise (and certainly dont go to nights of in the uk) ie. techno, tech house, minimal etc. it's a nice change and goes with the whole feel of the island. i dont think dubstep would go down well anywhere except some of the grimey bars in San An maybe imo.

Re: Dubstep in Ibiza
Some Anti-Social music could work there..
Re:
So you think that Outlook Festival is a waste of time? 3000 and something tickets fully sold out 3 months in advance might well not agree with you!dj ld wrote:Dont do the Facebook thing mate, but curious as to why you would put on a Dubstep night in Ibiza! Re: Dubstep in Ibiza
nope doesn't work, maybe in the smaller bars in sun set (anti social would be nice for that time), but really in my opinion doesn't work, just how you wouldn't have david guetta, tiesto at a dmz or any proper subby dubstep nights. just dont work!
Re: Dubstep in Ibiza
Maybe we should tell Outlook to refund the money for all 3000 tickets because it "just dont work!"?jigglypuff wrote:nope doesn't work, maybe in the smaller bars in sun set (anti social would be nice for that time), but really in my opinion doesn't work, just how you wouldn't have david guetta, tiesto at a dmz or any proper subby dubstep nights. just dont work!
Re: Dubstep in Ibiza
itsd the crowd not the place that dictates what will work
dubstep being city music is ridiculous, thought i do understand the point you're making, i just disagree, its the crowd not the place.
