A remix of a remix is called a 'frinton'.

i always thought it was a 'blumpkin' until i learned on red tube that it is DEFINITELY not called a blumpkin.

This is one of those moments where you could play the "VIP" card.

Sorry mate... for a serious answer, there really is no name for a remix of a remix.

You can call it the "Osky VIP" version, like Terekete suggested, or the other way Ive seen it noted would be something like

"That Tune" So-and-so Remix (Osky's "[Insert someting witty]" Remix) ((or substitute Rerub, Refix etc.))

I think it's open for interpretation but I think technically a VIP is usually done by the original artist. It's like a slight change for a special dj hence the VIP or a version for the dj themselves.

I am def no expert on this tho.

IMO a rmx of a rmx is just exactly that.

well if you're on the the 'naming' tip, i would suggest the 'VIP' also.

I really don't know what the etiquette for that sort of thing is, honestly. I've done the same and used 'hand down' and used my initials to represent it.

Like Shock One - Adachigaharas Theme (Kode 9/DRM hand down tech mix) for example.

im not actually sure what a vip is, i THINK its when maybe like an artist gets given the bare .flp (fruityloops) file or whatever daw file and they remix it with that. is that right?

nope, a vip mix is when an artist remixes their own tune.
