Rumor festival is a festival of adventurous music in the city of Utrecht, Holland. It takes place once every two months, on various locations in the city.

For this edition, Boxcutter will be one of the 3 concerts performing at EKKO.

Boxcutter is the stage name of the Northern Irish musician Barry Lynn. He is a maverick in the dark world of dubstep. Living in Ireland he is probably not influenced much by the pigeon-holing tendencies of London, the home of dubstep, where many dubstep releases are dominated by the competion for the heaviest bass lines. He is inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Robert Fripp and IDM (Intelligent Dance Music). Sure there is dub, and plenty of it. Besides he still propagates that buried fear, comparable to that of Amon Tobin and Source Direct. And technically he is holding his own with the absolute world class, the Technical Itches of this world.
