Uni students....

Post by steshine » Sun May 10, 2009 12:46 pm

It's a stressful time for all uni students (which is probably our own fault because we could've kept it under control from the beginning, but oh well, that's how we do) so thought it'd be nice to have a thread where people can let out all that stress, or just show their dissertation work if it's interesting.
Don't know about every one else but i don't have any exams, just a shit load of coursework, which is quite nice, but it's still busy time. Plus, i live in the middle of absolutely nowhere, so have no distractions. As a result, i think i've managed to finish my long study 2 weeks early, meaning i only have one other piece of work to do!

I have an exam in two days time - I can't remember anything in specific detail and I havent even looked at revision because i've been so swamped with coursework.

Finished my dissertation

Just trying to revise for three presentations in the next 4 days which I cant remember for shit, one in english about terrorism in south east asia. two in spanish about some other bullshit. HARD!

On top of that the bastards who run the politics dept are making all the students (whether they do a single honours in politics or joint honours) go to all the other ppls presentations, which means I have no time to practice these or revise for my two exams next week. AAARRRGHHHHH

I finish 23rd ..... CANNOT WAIT.

To celebrate goin to Platonic night on the 24th with Digital Mystics Rustie 2562 Ramadanman etc. gonna be LARGE http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=83284

Eurgh...

Wed 13th - Paper A:
Biological Molecules, Cell Biology, DNA, Histology, Medical Genetics, Molecular Biology, Nervous Tissues, Pharmacology, Proteins + Receptors, Gastrointestinal Physiology, Musculoskeletal Physiology

Mon 18th - Paper B:
Cardiocascular Physiology, Respiratory Physiology, Homeostasis (Metabolism, Kidney Function, Blood pH & sugar control), Medical Ethics

Tue 26th - Paper C:
ALL OF THE ABOVE ( )

Thu 28th - Clinical Integration:
Get 4 case studies in about a weeks time, got to research them all and then get asked on two of them.

I've actually done all my essays, but I still have a "Professional Awareness" log to do and about 30hours worth of Dissection manuals to complete.

I did nowhere near enough work during the year, and now it's come down to it, it's daunting how much I should've learnt. I've already made sure I've got time off for resits in August, so that's all good.

I'm in Cardiff doing Medicine. Although I think a lot of those modules are fairly standard bioscience modules. We do bits and pieces of actual doctoring throughout the year, and are more ward-based as the years roll by.

Tell me about it. I don't even open a program these days 'cos otherwise that's 6 hours straight out the window.

Although saying that much of this week has slipped away :(
