Basically i am really new and i have not the first idea to anything my brother mixes and he has left his decks at home. he has gone to university so he is not here to help so all i can do is play tunes on his decks i actually have no knowledge of how to mix can someone help me on where to start etc.

Safe, read this. Take it with a pinch of salt, but does have some valid points in here. http://www.viceland.com/int/v11n5/htdocs/hey.php Then watch get darker tv, look at the top down view when they are mixing. This will help. Could write something myself, but can't be arsed.
