I'm using albino3, and can tell they both use 4 oscillators, one being a pure sine for the sub, so the problem is what waveforms are present? (and which are not). also (and more importantly) what octaves are being used? are there many effects present?
you would not believe how long I've spent trying to work it out through trial and error so any help would be much appreciated!

Retriggering notes/samples (snare drums?), playing the sample at a higher or lower pitch to change the pitch of the sound?
I mean... that's how I think I do it?
Edit: my God, do I hate hearing Rusko talk. Holy crap.

thanks for the reply, i dont think they're using samples for the sound in the 2nd vid he explains hes using 4 oscillators for it in albino3

doesnt use any square waves as far as i know
