Is this the same author that tried to say Ed Rush and Optical / No U turn etc. were some kind of backash against thatcherism?

I agree that Reynolds is a bit of a donkey, but I think Caspa needs to read the article again instead of counting the number of words in it. He'd realise that Reynolds isn't being personal and, on the contrary, actually finds all the anti-caspa/wobble stuff quite offputting. And the last sentence ("I’m sure one day we’ll meet face to face, and uh… he won’t be hiding behind his computer.") shows a distinct lack of guile, given the title of the Reynolds piece.

The person that wrote that and was slagging off him off sounds like he has no clue what he is on about and is just a fool.

For me Reynolds gave quite a balanced account of Caspa and his album. He had equally bad remarks for both Caspa as a wobble-monger and the scene itself for being so closed and often contradictory.

As for Caspa's response there's no two ways about it, he's come off sounding like a twat.

Most bizarre of all are the descriptions of wobble's hard-riffing blare in terms of "someone jizzing in my face"
Hahahaha ive never said that about dubstep but i will from now on! [/quote]

caspa didnt seem to understand that Simon Reynolds' article at all, at the end of the day it was a reveiw of his with a few "tounge in cheek" jokes. tbh i agree with a fair few of his points

Aye, but he's missed the point hasn't he. The guy didn't write 1700 words on why he hates Caspa. Far from it in fact, so it seems to be a bit of a foot-in-mouth moment for Caspa.

Sampling crap British films? Whatever next!

Carry On Soundboy? Cream tea raves? Old maids riding to evensong on a jet of bass pressure, their bicycle seats hot as buttered toast?

This country is going to the dogs.

Haha. Missed the point supremely.

That's got to be embarassing.

Comedy gold in the "Oh, that fucking donut!" line. Way to show off you're more eloquent than the brit-flick-obsessed, hooliganstep chappy portrayed in Reynolds' blog.

Also, surely a better track could be found than 'lion's roar'? Formulaic pish, or the logical next step in his self-cannibalisation, methinks.

whats most amusing to me is how apparent it is that dsf is being lurked by the blogoscenti for the content they write about when updating the status of the scene re: ketamine

Reynold's could've done without the speculation into how freudian motivations are informing Caspa's work tho - bit of a stretch methinks
