Monitor Placement

Post by fiziks » Fri Jun 05, 2009 1:45 pm

I bought a new house and I'm setting up the upstairs as a studio. It's carpeted and the image below is a rough sketch of the layout. The setup will be on the left part as it is bigger. I'm just wondering where the best place to set up the monitors would be. The middle of everything isn't an option because there is a big ass closet the sticks out that will prevent that.

i know corners arent a good spot. and the monitors should be equal distance from you as they are to each other, forming an equilateral triangle innart.

Thanks.

I get that they are to form an equal trangle and the tweeters should be at ear height (I think. Although they seem to sound better a little higher than ear height).

I'm curious what people that the best place in the room to put the whole desk. I was thinking of a few feet from the wall in the bottom left corner at a 45 degree angle. That way the distance from from each wall would be different. I'm not sure though.
