Logic Bass Patches?

Post by dignan » Sat Jun 13, 2009 5:09 pm

Does anyone have good patches to make nice sounding wobble / sub bass sounds with any of the Logic synths? If so, please share them here! I'll upload some of mine later today...

Check out www.logicprohelp.com. They have a section of uploaded User presets for all the logic synths. Loads of good ES2 patches. Sorry can't link as at work :(

Just started playing with logic (cubase is my normal choice). It's nice so I look forward to hearing what I can get out of it and the internal synths etc

Why have you moved after all this time? do you not use any hardware now?!
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

I switched to a mac about a year ago, logic looks nice and its cheaper than cubase. I want to be able to use both. I'm sure they both have +ve and -ve elements.

No more hardware for us!:(

logic's better @ midi, more efficient, comes w/ more (and better-sounding) plugs and is amazing if you have a hybrid hardware/software setup.

cubase is super-fast for audio editing.

a great go-to sub bass in logic is an empty exs24, set to mono, w/ the attack and release up a bit and the decay and sustain down off the top. no compression, no eq, no filter.

I still have no idea why people want to filter their sine subs... it doesnt need any (well maybe off the bottom end <30hz)
the blank exs24 is my weapon of choice for subs, usually works in every tune, albeit slightly modified to fit each time :)

I've found that really warm, deep subs can be created by gently (or otherwise ;) ) adding harmonics to the fundamental sine wave through filter or plug-in distortion plus a resonance boost, then filtering away some of these partials with a low-pass filter ;)
