YO!!!
Big up's to every one who made the pilgrimage last night! I reckon you'll agree t'was a bit of a stinker!
Huge shout out to all the DJ's that played last night - every set was a wrong 'un!
Also - a massive thanks to Indigo for making it down last minute in place of Akira - solid set!
See you at the next one - Sat 10th October:

Back to Bassics crew.
Round 3 - FIGHT!
Back to Bassics returns with another hefty installment of beats and bass... of a glitchy nature!
The line up looks a little bit like this...
Akira Kiteshi (Black Acre / TapeDekRok)
After a short (but extremely sweet) set at our launch event back in April, we thought it only right to get Captain Kiteshi back in Bristol for a full set. It's been a busy few months for Akira Kiteshi - and with deals being signed and tune after tune getting massive props / pressings, it's hard to see this audio freight train slowing down any time soon!
For those of you not in the know about this new sound - you can get aquainted here...

Loops Haunt (Team Acre)
It seems there's something in the water up in Scotland - fellow countryman to Akira Kiteshi, and beat producer extrordinaire, Loops Haunt, has created quite a sitr in the last month or so, receiving air time from Mary Anne Hobbs amongst many others.
His sound could be described as Excision's and Prefuse 73's love child on a healthy dose of anabolics - and we mean this in a good way!
Catch him at Back to Bassics for his Bristol debut - this is something you really don't want to miss!

Rich Reason and Fantastic Mr. Fox (Live) (Black Acre / Hemlock)
Another new recruit to be Black Acre fam...
After having a slot confirmed at Creamfields this year, putting pen to paper with Black Acre, and seeing their own night, Hit and Run (Manchester) go from strength to strength over the last few months - as well as doing a remix for Bobby Friction, it seems apparent that the remainder of 2009 is set to be massive for this impressive duo - and we're extremely proud to have them on board for this event.

Phaeleh (Live) (Surface Tension / Urban Scrumping)
Bristol favourite, Phaeleh, will be joining us for his first Back to Bassics appearance, and we're excitied about this one. A whole hour of Preston's own music tweaked live for your listening pleasure. Expect to hear some familiar tunes, as well as current projects not yet heard! This will be massive, bordering on colossal!

SNAFU (Se Fire) (dubstep turntablism set)
Scratching and cutting genious, Snafu, will also be making his Back to Bassics debut. Expect nothing party vibes from this exceptionally talented DJ.

Hosted for the duration by Hey'Zeus (Rinse FM)
...and in room 2, we'll be giving you one of the Midlands finest young DJ's on the scene in Chuck D, and of course, it wouldn't be a full line up without Back to Bassics' very own, Bassic DJ's!
Bassic DJ's (2 hour set)
N/A b2b Rupcha b2b Mogley
Toman (Dysfunktional Radio) b2b Riggolous (2 hour set)
Expect complex cutting, scratching and everything inbewteen!!
DJ Chuck D (Rush / Urban Desire Radio) b2b V-Locity (Rush / dnbmidlands)
Slick tune selection from 2 of the Midlands finest Drum and Bass DJ's

Better stay well enough away from this night if you don't have an extra pair of shorts. Those new Phaeleh tunes will surely make you wish you had them.
