THE ABSOLUTE ILLEST HIPHOP ALBUM OUT!

Post by smdroccity » Mon Jun 15, 2009 3:03 pm

If you love hiphop this is the best CD I've bought recently; this and MF DOOM's Born Like This;

A majority of this album is instrumental, but J Dilla instrumental CDs are on a different level of any other hiphop producer, this shit is bananas!

I heard he had even more beats in his basement that are being dug out as we speak. Cheers to his mother for being the Executive Producer and making sure all his work gets out to us.

I never like Donuts as much as either Ruff Draft, The Shining, Jaylib, and now this one; don't get me wrong, I love Donuts, but I think his other recent albums are much better

fuck yes. Jay Stay Paid & Born Like This have been tucked in my visor for like 2 weeks & just keep getting switched out in the player. I'm loving the chopped up radio style of WLIB and such...now if all those albums we've been waiting on would drop, hiphop might just be on it's second coming...<ahem> Slum Village, etc...

adikt, love the quote in your sig, Quasimoto is my shit!

Tame One has some new shit droppin I'm gonna check for, I don't think S Villa will be as ill without J Dilla production imho
Check out J's lil brother's CD Illa J; shit is sick

oh and if you were into nineties lyricism, Keith Murray and Canibus just finished a collabo album!
If that dropped in 2000 it would've went plat, in 09 they'll be lucky to sell 100k copies lol
I'm waiting on a new Sean Price album too, that's my dude right there

Canibus & Keith Murray... Love both, but really, I'm not expecting anything really mind-blowing from either.

Illa J IS incredibly weak. Nobody would care if he wasn't Dilla's brother. FACT.

Slum Village.... Eh, the dudes aren't AMAZING. But they do okay. Besides, elzhi.

Sean Price however... MAN. I'm even eager to hear him with lame-ass Guilty Simpson.
