Bass. I love the stuff. If it was a bird, I'd probably marry the bitch.

2 things, roughly the same time -

1. Quiet Storm filling in for Jay Da Flex on 1Xtra one time. Amazing show.
2. Toasty - Knowledge. when it dropped i felt like i was coming up on a pill. total adrenaline rush...

Heard Vex'd's album Degenerate,

then after Dubstep Warz on MAH's Breezleblock

Image

the sound inspired me to get a set of decks, the first bag of tunes i bought from boomkat was;

Vex'd - Bombardment of Saturn/Killing Floor',
Distance - 'Traffic/Cyclops'
Pinch - 'Qawwalli/v.i.p',
D1 - 'Missin'/Coaine/Firin' Blanks'
Burial - 'South London Boroughs'
Kode9 & Daddi Gee - 'Sine of The Dub/Stalker'
Kode9 & The Spaceape - 'Curious Portal

good times :)
Urban Fox Takeover - Mondays 20:00-22:00 (GMT) - Avalaf.co.uk

Junior year of highschool a friend of mine runs into my room (it was a boarding school). He says, "You've got to hear this" and plays me a bit of a dubstep mix from SubFm. Shit blew my mind. I was a metalhead at the time and the heavy bass and the dark, heavy industrial groove really turned me on. :twisted:

me + marijuana + Scuba's Twista = love

I had been an electro/minimal tech. DJ up until that point and I started originally DJing with old dub records, so the combo was pretty much a given love for me...
